The Yoga Garden™ is taught using auditory, visual and kinetic cues so that each class is accessible to children with different learning strengths. Wonder and exploration permeate the classes. We sing songs, play rhythm games, learn basic dance steps and learn some of the classical yoga poses that are based on animals and objects found in the natural world.

The Yoga Garden™ Crawlers
For Parents and their non-walkers
The Crawlers class is a yoga based exercise program designed to bring fitness and balance to new parents as they bond with their babies. Through a prescribed series of simple exercises and breathing techniques, new parents will begin to experience the well being and confidence that comes from linking the body, breath and mind. Healthy, happy parents create a healthy happy family. Babies are encouraged to attend.
The Yoga Garden™ Seeds
18 months – 3 years (with an adult)
This class involves the participation of one adult with the child. We focus on developing coordination through creative movement, using imagination, music exploration, various dance styles, and yoga poses.
The Yoga Garden™ Sprouts
3 - 5 years
Sprouts are ready to leave their grown ups in the waiting room and take a class on their own. More poses are introduced, as well as a new level of discipline. By listening and following directions children become aware of their boundaries and be more fully free and confident in their dance, yoga and play.
The Yoga Garden™ Blossoms
5 - 7 years
More complex dances, songs and yoga poses are taught and practiced in this class. Each child has chances to create their own poses, and teach the other children their newly invented moves. A little yoga philosophy begins to sneak in at this level as well, as we discuss ahimsa (non violence) and satya (truthfulness).
Storybook Song & Dance
Storybook Song & Dance introduces children to music, dance and drama. Each 50 minute class includes singing, stretching, storytelling, and both free and choreograpjhed dancing.
Yoga Garden Flows and Teens
Each class begins with three invigorating rounds of Sun Salutations, followed
by asana practice, kirtan, and meditation. We will also play yoga games and do a
bit of dancing. This class develops flexibility, strength, focus and poise.
