The Yoga Garden in the Classroom
This is a unique opportunity to bring yoga into your child’s classroom. By training school teachers through five on-site sessions, teachers learn a basic curriculum of classic yoga poses, games, songs and meditation techniques to use throughout the school year.
Two Approaches to Yoga in the Classroom
- The simplest way to get yoga into your classroom is to simply hire a Yoga Garden teacher to come weekly or monthly to your or your child’s class. The cost is $75 per session.
- The second way is to train your teacher through the five session series outlined below.
Each Teacher Receives:
The Yoga Garden Game, a cooperative board game
The Yoga Garden CD, Movement Songs for Children
The Yoga Garden Basic Handbook

Session One
We come to the classroom to acquaint ourselves with the environment and the students. We play some games and teach a few simple yoga poses.
Session Two
We begin to design a 20-minute practice for the class.
Session Three
The class is introduced to their customized Yoga Garden practice.
Session Four
With the teacher taking the lead, we run through the practice one more time.
We take extra time at this session to make sure that all questions, from the schoolteacher and the students, are answered.
Session Five
We come to the classroom one more time to make sure the teacher is completely comfortable with The Yoga Garden practice.
Remember: A certified Yoga Garden Teacher is always available for drop-in check ups!
Total Cost for the Five Session Series: $475
